Since the 9th of March 2014, the Netherlands has introduced a new design for passports and identity cards.

The DutchID app contains information about the authenticity features used in the latest design. The app indicates where the authenticity features can be found and verified.

By tilting, touching or holding your device up to the light, you can verify the security features.

A light switch also helps you to see the ultraviolet security features.

This app is developed and issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
